Welcome to the Virtual Reality and Active Interfaces GroupSince 1993, the Virtual Reality and Active Interfaces (VRAI) group has been creating innovative user interfaces. Our research covers a broad range of applications: from computer aided surgery to nanomanipulation, from human-robot interaction to vehicle teleoperation. To support these applications, we are working with haptics, human-oriented computer vision, physics-based 3D graphics, personal digital assistants, and the WorldWideWeb. One goal of the group is to transfer the technology developed into products. Most of this effort is achieved via start-up. Among them we can mention Force Dimension, Atracsys, Qualimetro and Computive Surgery. If you have an application that can benefit from our technology, or if you would like to work in an innovative research environment, please contact us today! Latest NewsPhD Position in Surgical Navigation TechnologyWithin the scope of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) for Computer Aided and Image Guided Interventions (COME) the ARTORG Centre at UniBe in collaboration with the VRAI Group at EPFL is conducting research to develop suitable approaches for the integration of modern image guided methodology into the area of visceral interventions. |
